Worship at Woodlands celebrates the Lord and draws us closer to Him through a contemporary music format, incorporating popular Christian songs, hymns and arrangements that combine the two styles in a fresh way.
Change has come to Woodlands as the Wetmore's have been called into a new season of service to our Lord. As we wait upon the Lord for further direction for worship Pastor Dave has asked Chris Love to lead worship for the time being. Chris and Cathy Love serve at Woodlands in various capacities and Chris has played the piano off and on since age six. Both Chris and Cathy have sung in various church choirs and musical groups periodically since childhood. For several years during late adolescence Chris accompanied Pauline Michael Mills (Thou Art Worthy) on the organ as she led worship at Christian retreat conferences up and down the west coast. Chris has also provided musical accompaniment for previous churches and home groups the Love family has attended.
Worship will continue to be very important at Woodlands. A major teaching from church history asks what is the chief end of man? The answer provided was that man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. This is the theme of worship at Woodlands in that our purpose for worship is to offer praise and glory unto God. In return, we anticipate God's presence in and through our worship as we fellowship with Him through our humble offerings of song.
We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings to offer praise to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
